I purchased my chains at a local auto parts store in my home town.  (The price on Amazon is a better deal.) My main concern was how easy it would be to install.  I discovered that tire chains have come a long way.  You don't need to drive "over the chain" like in the old days.

The first time I installed a chain, it took me about 15 minutes.  The second time, much faster--about half that time.

I checked with the manufacturer (Peerless), who reviewed my video to make sure I wasn't making any blunders. They offered some key points about installing the yellow "tensioner."

It's best to place the yellow tensioner so that the hooks face OUT

It's easier to place the hooks if you do it in the order of 12:00 to 6:00 / 10:00 to 2:00 / 4:00 to 8:00 positions like on a clock.

I found the instructions to be pretty good.  Maybe could have been clarified a bit, but very understandable.

Overall, a very good product. Especially the ease of install.  If you're going to the mountains, practice installing them first!
